Question for Pushies

I see that Jack Forbes has passed on.  He claimed to be Powhatan-Renape and Delaware-Lenape.  Since you knew him, can you tell us who was one of his Delaware-Lenape ancestors?

I would be interested in this too.

Re: Question for Pushies

Pardon me for not getting to you sooner,  spoke with Levi a few minutes ago and he mentioned your question.  Yes, I received an Obit. for Jack a few days ago.

I mentioned to Jim R. some info about Jack I would like to share, but not now.  I was raised to show respect for families going through burials and to have a reasonable time go by after burials out of respect.

I enrolled at UC Davis in 73-74.  That is when I first met Jack. I will say he mentioned a name to me one time that I did not recognize as coming from the Oklahoma area.  I paid little attention to it because I had seen him over the years get involved with the Powhatan group.  I had been attending the University for at least a year before he claimed Delaware ancestry.

He began to do interviews of my relatives; mother, father, and grandmother.  I intend to ask the family for copies of everything and the name of his Delaware relative. No, my family are not his long lost relatives.

Sorry I don't have a name for you at this time but it will be forthcoming. Thank you for your patience.

More than 16 months, now.  Has enough time passed, yet?
