So...  Does this prove he was an American Indian?  Does his "Powhatan Renape" background authenticate that group?  Should they, then, be granted recognition from New Jersey?  Why not federal recognition?

Jack Forbes sure has some haters on here, where there’s smoke.
He’s done more for real Indians than anyone posting on this site.

I don't know what anyone else on here thinks of Jack Forbes.  I certainly don't "hate" him.  I simply doubt his claim to be an American Indian.  I've seen zero evidence that he was and a plenty of evidence that he wasn't.  So far as I'm concerned, he was a European American.  Like many other people, he might have heard family stories about having distant Indian ancestry, but that doesn't make one an Indian.

Irony is lost on you.
Fact Supreme Court has ruled self identification as American Indian is enough. And to call that into question is a hate crime. Just a ruling by the highest court in the land. If you were American Indian yourself you would know that, and certainly wouldn’t hate a stranger regardless.
I’m done playing whack a mole, maybe I’ll come by sometime and see if y’all get her heads out of your butts.
I have not seen proof that he started the UNA tribe, he was responsible for much better things regardless.
Hating wasn’t one of them.

Looks like y’all haven’t heard of John Trudel either. Sad.
I remember being in the Bay Area during radio free Alcatraz, my Moqui grandma all excited listening to the broadcast
Telling me her truths.
Our truths
Listening to his truths.

So, every Wannabe and phony Indian who self-identifies as "American Indian" is, in fact, an American Indian.  PREPOSTEROUS!

I self-identify as White and don't hate people--even phonies and those who admire them.

No hurry.

He was a good White guy, I guess?
