Re: Albinism Among the Hopi Indians in Arizona

Yes the occurrence of albinism in the Hopi tribe is well studied and documented, but as a group all of the pueblo tribes fall better into this category of anthropological study.
I feel it is fair to say that the scientific conclusions can be extrapolated more of less to every tribe. There is much evidence concerning this reality throughout the contemporary americas.

Genetics: A Conceptual Approach
By Benjamin A. Pierce
http://biochemsite.com/documents/textbo … 0txtbk.pdf

This book starts with a fairly accurate description in my opinion of the reality of "white" indians in America.

The author's focus is Hopi in his description. I only read the first two pages, genetics are not something I'm focusing on currently.

Got a letter from a research geneticist stating that albinism is common in all America Indian tribes recently.
