Traditional (?) Rowing Song

OK - Not really sure where to put this in the forums....

I was searching the web for Lenape songs in hopes of finding one that could be daily learnt for an upcoming Scouting event.

I happened to come across that was given as a "traditional rowing song"  - a song used while rowing a canoe.

I'm not sure of the proper title, but I think it might be something like "Hey lopa loma"  - just wondering if anyone has heard of it and if so, is it something more of a modern composition or is it indeed a traditional rowing song??

There do not appear to be any words; just vocables.

Just curious.

Thanks!

That's "easily learnt", not 'daily learnt' smile

Re: Traditional (?) Rowing Song

I've moved your query on this to the "Who are they?" board, where it belongs.  We've discussed this subject, before.  See the second link in the first post, here:

Got it, thanks!

Well, guess that answers my question on the song!
