Snow is falling, but not sticking to the streets and sidewalks. Whether it is sticking to the two or so feet already on the ground in anyone's guess. Yesterday, I had a doctor's appointment, and went afterwards to sit for a while in my car in a park on the Delaware River. The air outside was cold, and the ground was slippery, so I chose, with my current fragile health, to watch the river from the car, rather than walk beside it, calling to the sea gulls which hovered above the icy parking lot. I turned off the motor. The car stayed very warm -- the bright winter sun acted as its own furnace -- and I was very "comfy."
As many of you already know, my breast cancer from years ago has returned to the pleural lining of the right lung. I ended up spending two weeks in the hospital. I am home now, but still very weak. The doctors are still running tests before deciding on a course of treatment. I ask to be held in the light and in your prayers. I would love complete recovery. I would love to see my grandkids grow up -- to one day know my great grandkids. But, whatever comes, I want to face it calmly and with faith.
The February 15, 2010 issue of Autumn Leaves is in cyberspace. Have fun reading it.

Ohh, Sondra, it sounds like you do have faith, and have been given grace and mercy for whatever lies ahead.
I liked what Corrie Ten Boom said, when she said her Father told her she'd be given what she needed at the time, not before. My prayers for you, Sondra. May you prosper and be in health; with long life will God satisfy you is my prayer. I've seen some miracles happen, not just to me, but to other persons I know. I pray God gives you life, and a miracle, and complete healing.
I hope this makes some kind of sense, and encourages you.
