It wouldn't be that his tribe consists of 5 people (his immediate family) and he was arrested in a Millville parking lot at 2:00 a.m. with a crackpipe???? 

So what is a good time to park with a crack pipe then??

They are all DECEASED members of the Nanticoke-Lenape. I have a copy of his tribal rolls.

Bridgeton police arrested Thomas and 2 others in connection with the torching of a limousine earlier this month.
An investigation revealed Thomas leased the limo from a Philadelphia firm to make a profit by sub-leasing it, police said. When he couldn't meet the monthly payments of $10,000 the company moved to repossess the vehicle authorities said.
Thomas allegedly conspired with two others to report the limo stolen, then, sell it to a "chop shop" in Camden, where it would be disassembled and the parts resold below market value.
The vehicle was reported stolen from the parking lot of a Vineland diner, but the trio decided to burn it than take it to a chop shop, police said.
No indictment has been handed up in the case, which is still a open complaint in the Cumberland County Prosecutors Office, according to court records.
Thomas did not resist Monday,when Det. Brian Wentz and Patricia Mason of the sheriff's department arrested him on the fugitives warrant authorities said.
Webster said Thomas is self employed as a financial consultant for Capital Expansion Inc., of which the Thomas Foundation apparently is a offshoot.
Webster said he he knows nothing about either organization.
Thomas, whose residence is listed as Finlaw Ave., Bridgeton has gained publicity recently by raising money through the foundation to help disadvantaged youths.
Two $1,000 foundation scholarships were awarded earlier this month to eligible student and checks for about $150 each were awarded to two area athletes before they were to compete in the Junior Olympics.
Thomas has organized a local gof tournament Sept. 30 to raise money for the for the foundation drawing the Phila. branch of the Coca Cola Company as at least one sponsor according to a employee of the Holly Hills Golf Course in Alloway Twp.
Webster said no other investigation of Thomas is planned. "At this point we are doing nothing about it, the case is closed." He said.
A spokesman for the state Division of Consumer Affairs that neith of Thomas' organizations is registered with the state Office of Charitable Organizations.
"We never heard of them and have no paperwork on them,"said division spokesman George Danco. "If someone solicits donations from the public they're required to register," he said.
Charitable organizations seeking tax-exempt status also must seek approval from the federal Internal Revenue Service by applying to the agency's exempt organization section, but a IRS spokeswoman in Newark could not verify Friday whether the Thomas foundation had applied.

That article is 20 years old. What happened with this case? Was he extradited back to Texas? Did he go to trial and spend some time in our lovely facilities?

He spent 3 years in prison here. I have more but I'm not ready to do that much typing yet.
He has a "gag order" on members of my tribe to keep from talking about this stuff. But since I'm not enrolled I don't count.

"Kschuppehellen."  What he's trying to call himself is 'strong, swift current in the water.'  Unfortunately, he has copied two typographical errors that appear in various printed Moravian word lists.  The actual word is "kschippehelleu."

The Tribal Nation which seceded from the Confederation of Surviving Independent Tribes in Sept 1998 has asked the EZ board to consider its application.

It mentions this Confederation of Surviving Independent Tribes many times in this article. What exactly is this Confederation?????.

That says Thomas is Tribal Chairman of the Nanticoke Lenni-Lenape Tribal Nation, Inc. That isn't right, is it? I thought his group was called the Unalachtigo Band of Lenni Lenape.

Thomas was just indicted in Cape May or Atlantic Counties for squatting on someone's boat. A prosecutor detective called the Naqnticoke-Lenape Tribal Office looking for info because he claimed to be tribal chairman again. I'm looking for the indictment now.

The picture of J. Brent Thomas and John Norwood was taken without John's permission and "on the sly". It was not authorized and Dr. Norwood is very upset about it.
