'Tis the season!

“The congregation gathered for the Christmas Eve service, which began with a Lovefeast.  During this we read the story of our Savior’s birth.  We reflected upon the little baby in the stall and in the manger and celebrated him in song and worshipped him on our knees.  He comforted and delighted our hearts so that they melted and tears flowed from our eyes.  In conclusion we passed out written verses and candles to the children, who also joined in singing their childlike Gratias to Him and who really rejoiced over baby Jesus in the manger.
“Brother Roth preached a sermon about Isaiah 9, For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, etc.  There was a blessed feeling during the Children’s Service, which Brother Jungmann led.  The children sang very sweetly of the Savior’s birth and incarnation, so that the older people shed many tears during this.”
