500nations.com says they are state recognized... lol and it was posted under New Jersey!

Everything I do is for my grandmother for without her, I wouldn't be here today.

Re: anyone heard of this tribe from Pa?

I've found numerous errors in the listings on 500nations.com. They list the Sand Hill Band of Lenape and Cherokee Indians as federally recognized and we all know that isn't correct. They aren't recognized by the State of New Jersey either.

As to this group of wannabes out of Philadelphia . . . They are not Cherokee; descendants maybe, but definitely not a Band. There are only three Cherokee Nations: The Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians in North Carolina, the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma and the United Keetoowah Band in Oklahoma. All others are heritage societies at best; some are nothing more than pretendians.

I don't think Pennsylvania has given anyone state recognition.

Steven,

That's David Hughes. I thought we had a thread on them somewhere around here. I'll look later.

Here's his site.  http://www.standswithsong.com/home.html
