Persons Name Translation

Petagu as a persons name. Looking for a translation.
Came across perhaps a Delaware translation something like" she who is bought to us".

O.S.:

This looks like Munsee, peetaakw ("one who brings something"), by my lights.  Pronounced like 'pay-tock-w.'

Re: Persons Name Translation

Thankyou Sschkaak maybe just a coincidence and perhaps from the original record it was translated or spelt incorrectly but I am trying to follow up if the original document is still available. The document where this was written is from 1906. Just seems too much of a coincidence as often happens.
